At Breakfree Longbeach, we are committed to embedding sustainability into all areas of our daily operations. We recognise that sustainability is an ongoing journey and are continually striving to reduce our carbon footprint wherever possible. Below are some of the initiatives we have implemented to date.

Dry Amenities

At Breakfree Longbeach, we are dedicated to removing single-use plastics across all of our guest rooms. As part of this commitment, we have made a significant decision to eliminate single-use plastic dry amenities, such as toothbrushes, combs, and shower caps from our guest rooms, significantly reducing our environmental footprint.

Large Amenities

As part of our ongoing efforts, to reduce our waste outputs, we have made the decision to replace our single use bathroom amenities, with refillable pump dispensers throughout the hotel. By eliminating single-use plastic bottles, we are significantly reducing the amount of waste generated by our operations without compromising on quality.

Breakfree Longbeach acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we operate, the Kombumerri people, and extend that respect to their Elders past and present.

We are proud to be a Sustainable Tourism Certified hotel with Ecotourism Australia. The Sustainable Tourism Certification program assesses our environmental, socio-economic, cultural and responsible management principles to ensure we are minimising our negative impacts and maximising benefits for the environment, communities and culture. This achievement reinforces our ongoing commitment to delivering sustainable hospitality and creating positive impacts for our team, guests, local community and planet.

Accessibility

At Breakfree Longbeach, we strive to accommodate the diverse needs of all our guests, including those with mobility challenges. While we don't currently have dedicated accessible rooms, our open-plan apartments are designed with spacious layouts to provide ease of movement and comfort for all guests. The open-plan design ensures that there are no barriers or tight spaces that could impede movement within the living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms which have walk in showers.

While pets are not accepted at Breakfree Longbeach, assistance animals are always welcome. Additionally, our friendly staff are available to assist with special accessibility needs or requests to ensure every guest enjoys a comfortable and memorable stay with us.
